Your Taku Lodge Feast and 5 Glacier Discovery begins just steps from the cruise docks! Your tour begins when your float plane takes off from the waters near the heart of downtown Juneau. Throughout your fully narrated and educational flight, you’ll pass over Juneau’s old mines, forested valleys, and soaring peaks to finally reach the Juneau Icefield. Once here, you’ll explore some of the icefields most notable southern off-shoots. These include the Norris, Hole-in-the-Wall, East Tower, West Tower, and Taku Glaciers. As you’ll learn along the way, the Taku Glacier is the only glacier on the Juneau Icefield that is actively advancing, making it a special marvel to behold. And you'll also get a stunning view of this behemoth from the lodge!

What if my group is larger than 10 people?
There are several planes available at the base and can make accommodations for larger groups with advance notice.
How many passengers per plane?
Each plane can seat up to 10 passengers, provided the weight and balance calculations work out in each aircraft.
Do we land on the glacier?
Your floatplane will not land on a glacier, but will provide you with the opportunity to see more of Juneau's stunning glaciers than any helicopter tour.
Will we see wildlife on the tour?
There is a chance wildlife will be seen during your tour. However, this is not a wildlife viewing tour and we cannot guarantee you will see wildlife.
Can children come on the tour?
Absolutely! We are more than happy to accommodate children of all ages.
What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
Please let us know in advance so we can determine if we have proper meal accomodations for you. Grilled Chicken is available in lieu of the Salmon, and we provide many delicious sides as well.
What happens if the weather is too bad to fly?
If the weather is just not cooperating and the pilots determine that it’s too bad to fly, we’ll do our best to reschedule you to a later time of day that works for you. If you choose not to reschedule or we can’t find a time that works for you, we will refund you.
